Voice & dialect coach
Practical, rigorous voice coaching for actors at every stage, and for anyone who wants to be heard, believed, and remembered. Rooted in the body, built for performance.
I've worked with
The coach
I coach voice to be free and reliable: free enough to take risks and make bold choices, reliable enough to do it again tomorrow. My approach is holistic and embodied. It's practical, technical, and built to prepare you for the rehearsal room, on set, and in front of an audience. The aim is simple: to hold a room, connect with a scene partner or camera, and speak with honesty, clarity, and intention.
I work with people at every point in their careers, from students finding their instrument to award-winning actors preparing for their next role. I'm an Associate Voice and Text Coach at Shakespeare's Globe and a Senior Lecturer in Voice at Guildford School of Acting (University of Surrey). And the work isn't only for actors: I also help non-actors build better communication skills.
I trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and I hold an MFA in Voice Studies and a BA in Music Performance (Singing). I'm Fitzmaurice Voicework certified and trained in Vocal Massage Therapy and vocal extremes, and I'll use whatever it takes to get your voice free, reliable, and ready to work.
Technique discovered with you, not imposed on you.
I work privately with professional actors on voice, text, and accent, freelance with productions across theatre, film, and TV, and with non-actors who want to communicate better.
Breath, resonance, and vocal freedom, built through the body rather than drilled from the outside.
A breath- and body-based approach that destructures old tension and restructures a freer, more resonant voice.
Hands-on release for the jaw, neck, and larynx, easing tension that's holding the voice back.
Vocal stunt work, mastered: screams, shouts, and extreme sounds that stay powerful and healthy.
Accurate, embodied accents for stage and screen roles, worked from sound into character.
Shakespearean and heightened text unlocked through breath, rhythm, and structure.
Voice direction, coaching, and consultation for theatre, film, TV, and voiceover productions, from early planning to the rehearsal room, studio, or set, and through the run of a show.
For drama schools, companies, and individual actors, shaped around the room.
Training actors at the University of Surrey's conservatoire.
Coaching voice and text on Globe productions, most recently Love's Labour's Lost in summer 2026.
Drama school-level voice coaching for actors, wherever their career takes them.
Private coaching, plus voice and dialect work on theatre, film, and TV productions.
